i want it to be a french manicure.
thank you.Can someone explain the difference between acrylics and acrylic tips?
Full acrylics are a WHOLE nail that entirely covers your natural nail. Acrylic tips are partials that cover the top portion of your real nail. There is debate among nail techs and people who get them on wether or not nail tips alow your natural nail to 'breath' better and keep them healthier. I have personally had both and I prefer nail tips, which look more natural, especially when they start to grow out.
Many nail technicians suggest that acrylic nails should be cared for as if they were natural nails. It is a good idea to avoid exposing the nails to water for an extended period of time. The water can seep in between the acrylic and the natural nail, causing damage and possible infection. Wearing rubber gloves when washing dishes is recommended, but aside from that, artificial nail wearers can go about their usual routines without worry, especially if the nails are applied using quality materials.
The acrylic nails that are created by mixing a powder with a liquid. Nail artist literally paint and shape the nails into place using this mixture. The liquid recommended by most professional nail technicians is Ethyl Methacrylate, or EMA. Ethyl Methacrylate is a little more expensive than its alternative, Methyl Methacrylate or MMA. Methyl Methacrylate is commonly used because it is more cost-effective. However, MMA is linked to a number of harmful side effects, including skin irritations and irregular nail growth. Most nail artisans urge customers to choose Ethyl Methacrylate because of its superior quality. Excellent materials and proper nail care insures consumers that their nails will enhance their hands with style and safety.
Hope this helps:)Can someone explain the difference between acrylics and acrylic tips?
Acrylic tips means that is your natural nails are short, a plastic tip is applied with glue, then a layer of acrylic is applied over the top, a white acrylic over the tip and a pink area at the back of the nail. Acrylics can be two things, if you natural nails are long and do not need lengthening, the white and pink acrylic is applied over the top and your natural nail just like a coating, another method that is not used very much these days is acrylic sculptures, a form is placed around your finder tip, then the operator forms, a white tip on the form, above the natural nail, then whee pink area is added, this type of acrylic looks very natural, and is only done by the experienced nail artist, can I also say, go to a beauty salon to have your nails done, not a nail bar they just rush you in and out, and the products are full of harsh chemicals. hope that helps
theyre the same thing... the added nail is only put at the tip of your actual nail, and then acrylic is painted over the entire nail, making the connection between the real and 'fake' nail strong.
