Is there something to seal an acrylic painting?

I have been painting in acrylics for a few years now, and up until now I had not thought of this.Is there something to seal an acrylic painting?
Liquitex has a great line of products you can use to seal your work. Here's a link for more info http://www.dickblick.com/zz006/18b/.

If you are looking for a different type of canvas, check out this site http://www.canvascubed.com/.Is there something to seal an acrylic painting?
Either mat or gloss varnish/medium.
Solvar varnish is a acrylic based varnish that comes in both glossy and matt finishes. If your pieces are on display this will protect them from the elements. It's sold under different names by art supply companies.
I do not think it is necessary. I don't seal them.

I do not think that it is really necesssary to seal an acrylic painting, particularly if it is going to be displayed under normal conditions. However, I have used a Krylon product called Krystal Klear in the past. It gives it just a little bit of a sheen and I really felt comfortable using the product. I don't think that I would want something applied to my work other than the Krysta Klear. I am certain that I would not want anything that would be more glossy. Good luck to you and God bless you.....Keep on painting.....Nomadic
