What is the step by step process of getting acrylic nails?

I'm getting acrylic nails for the first time in 2 days %26amp; I really want to know what to expect.. (Detailed answers please)

So what are the steps of getting them? From the moment you sit in the chair til they are finished what does the tech do?

Thanks to anyone who answers! What is the step by step process of getting acrylic nails?
Too many steps involved to type in. So, just watch this video. This is how they are supposed to be done:

I can tell you some things to look out for. One is never let a nail tech use a drill on your natural nail. As you saw in the video, only a gentle hand filing is needed to remove the shine off of your nails for proper adhesion of the acrylic to your nails. If you are paying like $15-$25 for a full set, the chances are quite good you are going to a place we nails techs commonly refer to as 'discount' salons. These places are the ones that will more often than not use a Dremel drill on your natural nails. A drill should never be used on your natural nails, ever. And, a Dremel is NOT made for use on nails. But they use them anyway. Do not let them do this. If they do, just leave and find a better tech to do your nails. For more info, watch this video:

Also, the full set should take at least an hour - or more to complete. Discount salons skip many steps and do it in about a half hour

Remember, nail services should NEVER hurt, or cause you any pain at all - not during, or after you get your nails done. If they are causing you ANY discomfort, leave there immediately. That is a sign of an unqualified, unskilled tech.

Another thing they do - and you need to watch out for this - is that they will usually use dirty files and sanding bands on you which have also been used on other dustomers. This is an easy way to get a nasty infection, or even a disease. Also, look out for them using implements such as nippers which have not been properly disinfected. Do they pull them out of a drawer, where they are stored with other dirty tools? Or do they take them out of a disinfectant solution, wipe them, and then use them on you? Do not let anyone use dirty implements on you. Also, when they use any files on you, look at them closely before they start to use them. Do you notice any white color dust on them? If so, they have been used on others already. In short, they are dirty, and this is against the law in most states. Discount salons do not care one bit about the law, or about you either. They just want your money. Period.

Choose your salon/tech carefully. Your health is at risk. I'm quite serious about that. Watch these for more info. This is no laughing matter:

And never, ever think about getting a pedicure at these places. If you watched the videos, you will know why. What is the step by step process of getting acrylic nails?
it will probably go something like this -

they will file and buff your nails, then cut a small piece of material to place on top of your nail, glue it down, put some more goop or gel on top of that, and file it down until it is smooth. Most places use a machine drill type of thing to help file it down to make the process a little faster, and the nails smoother. Then finish with the polish.

I just posted a question about the Light-Concept manicure. If they offer it by you, maybe you should look into it. It does not damage your nail supposedly like regular wraps / acrylics do. I never had that done (light Concept), so I am curious about it as well.
they complete mess ur nails up underneath. they get soft, yellow, and thin
